The architectural design of Anyu Hotel is a perfect dialogue between tradition and modernity. The white walls and black tiles pay tribute to the local Hangzhou residential features, while the staggered glass curtain wall design brings a transparent modern feel.
The lake view suite is especially recommended. It not only has a private terrace overlooking the West Lake, but also has a handmade awning boat-shaped minibar and special bedding dyed with Longjing tea residue. Customized "Ten Scenes of West Lake" themed tea set, flower vases and saucers handmade by local potters, intelligent bathroom system, and a pillow menu offering 6 special fillings including cassia seeds and tea.
The chef designs the menu for dinner based on the day's purchases. Typical dishes include: sauced duck, drunken shrimp, shepherd's purse with dried tofu, water shield soup, tea-flavored chicken, Dongpo pork, fried tofu rolls, and seasonal vegetables such as braised spring bamboo shoots or water celery fried with dried tofu, and Pian Er Chuan noodles or cat ear-shaped pasta for the main course.
The public area is a 24-hour multi-functional space, offering free refreshments in the morning (West Lake Longjing tea with Jiuqu Hongmei tea snacks), and can be transformed into a cultural and creative space in the afternoon, regularly holding workshops such as seal engraving and group fan painting.
The old barbershop in Dajing Lane, the Dingshenggao workshop behind Hefang Street, and the second-hand bookstore on Zhongshan Middle Road, all within walking distance of the hotel, are great places to experience local life.
