June in Hangzhou coincides with the rainy season, yet unexpectedly reveals another facet of the city's beauty. This time, I stayed at Anyu's West Lake branch. The Anyu brand had been on my wish list for a long time—having recently visited Xipo in Jiangxi, I was pleasantly surprised to find Anyu even more delightful.
Ambience: Exceptionally well-designed, this boutique hotel is compact yet exquisite, with every corner photogenic enough for quality snaps.
Service: Honestly, it's my first time seeing all staff in a homestay wearing wireless earpieces, exuding professional reassurance. Their efficiency stood out—though I made few requests during my stay, every response was prompt and attentive.
Hygiene: The wooden-structured room felt slightly damp during rainy days, but it didn't affect comfort. Bedding was crisp and dry, while toiletries provided were both comprehensive and high-quality.
Breakfast: Here's the highlight—the biggest difference between Anyu and Xipo. While Xipo also excels in environment, service, and cleanliness, its breakfast is disappointingly simple and perfunctory. In contrast, Anyu's breakfast is artfully presented and sumptuous—let the photos speak for themselves.
