This is my second time in Hangzhou. This time I plan to take another City Walk along the Grand Canal. I like the distribution pattern of rivers and lakes in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. The water towns in the south of the Yangtze River are always very charming.
🔶 Route: Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum➡️Gongchen Bridge➡️Qiaoxi Historical and Cultural District➡️Xiaohezhi Street➡️Dadou Road Historical and Cultural District➡️Xiangji Temple
✅ Hangzhou Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum: Located on the east side of Gongchen Bridge area, get off at Gongchen Bridge East Station on Metro Line 5, and walk 500 to 600 meters. It displays the history, development and culture of the Grand Canal. Admission is stopped at 16:00 in the evening (the museum is closed on Mondays)
✅ Gongchen Bridge: The end point of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal to Hangzhou. You can take pictures of the water bus passing by at Gongchen Bridge at 16:00
✅ Qiaoxi Historical and Cultural District: A block on the canal, with many beautiful shops. It is also recommended to visit the Fan Museum/Umbrella Museum/Knife, Scissors and Sword Museum, each with a theme that showcases the exquisite craftsmanship of Chinese handicrafts (the museum is closed on Mondays)
✅ Xiaohezhi Street: a typical bluestone road in Jiangnan, with white walls and black tiles, many nice coffee shops/restaurants/photography shops, and handicraft stalls on weekends
✅ Dadou Road Historical and Cultural District: a district similar to Xiaohezhi Street, with many shops and stalls, but fewer tourists and quieter
✅ Xiangji Temple: a Tang Dynasty style temple, ticket price 💰20, quiet in the bustling city, the night view is very beautiful after the lights are turned on (lighting time 18:15), Miaodihu vegetarian buffet is quite famous
