Kempinski Hotel Hangzhou｜European Minimalist Aesthetics × Canal Poetry

My stay at Kempinski completely overturned my imagination of luxury hotels! There were no intricate carved gold decorations; instead, a clean and crisp European minimalist style prevailed—off-white as the main color, geometric furniture, floor-to-ceiling windows letting in light, creating a high-end feel without any sense of oppression✨

The surprise was that the designer quietly embedded the soul of the Hangzhou Canal into the details: the abstract water ripple metal wall in the lobby, the handmade silk Tang Dynasty lady painting above the bed in the guest rooms, and even the light and shadow installation in the elevator all mimic the flow of water waves🌊 My favorite is the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in the executive lounge, where you can watch canal boats shuttle by during the day and see the city lights reflected at night—quiet and healing～

📍The location is a huge plus! It’s only a 10-minute walk to Qiaoxi Straight Street and a 10-minute drive to Wulinmen Pier. After shopping, come back and enjoy a cup of Longjing tea—this is the true way to experience the slow life in Hangzhou🍵
