Get lost in the world of Moomin at Tove Jansson Akebono Children's Forest Park, a fairytale-like holiday trip

Tove Jansson Akebono Children's Forest Park in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture, is a park that recreates the world of Tove Jansson, the author of Moomin, and feels like you've stepped into a picture book.

The author visited on an autumn afternoon. Dotted with buildings that look like they come out of Nordic fairy tales, such as mushroom-shaped houses, pointy-roofed water play huts, and forest houses, every part of the park is photogenic.

A stream runs through the park, and in the season when the trees change color, the park is lit up in a fantastic way, making you feel like you've wandered into Moomin Valley.

Entry is free, and spending time relaxing in the quiet forest is perfect for solo travelers and couples.
Here you can enjoy a soothing trip that will bring you back to your childhood.
