St. Joseph Cathedral is located on Nha Trung Street, north of Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi, Vietnam. The church was built in the 19th century during the early French occupation of Vietnam. The church was modeled after Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and is the largest Roman Catholic center in Hanoi. It is a model for Hanoi's distinctive colonial architecture.
Around the church, there are also coffee shops where you can sit and eat like a Vietnamese. There are both local snacks and local food to choose from.
