An extraordinary tour to the first National University of Vietnam

#vietnamtrip
Temple Of Literature Location: 58 P. Quốc Tử Giám, Văn Miếu, Đống Đa, Hà Nội, Vietnam.
It was such an extraordinary experience visiting this historical yet majestic temple. The Temple Of Literature (Vietnamese: Văn Miếu) which is dedicated to Confucius. I had learnt about this historical temple which was founded and first built in 1070 at the time of Emperor Lý Thánh Tông, used to be Vietnam's first national university from 1076 to 1779.
I'm really admires its beautiful ancient architecture and traditional Vietnamese designs. It has various pavilions, shrines, statues and altars, plus an imposing front gate. Moreover, I love the spacious landscaped courtyards which creates serene and peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommend getting the audio guide to understand this place in a much better way.
Operating hours: 7 days a week from 8am to 5pm.
Admission ticket: VND 70,000 for adults. Free for children under 15 years old.
