Hanoi | Vietnam Fine Arts Museum: A Journey Through the Beauty of History

Stepping into the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi felt like entering a labyrinth of art. This expansive museum boasts a diverse collection, featuring sculptures, oil paintings, lacquer paintings, and watercolors.

After two hours of exploring, I realized I had only covered three floors, and each floor is divided into front and rear exhibition areas. It’s truly a place where you can walk until your legs give out.

The museum’s collection not only showcases Vietnam’s diverse artistic styles but also seamlessly incorporates historical imprints.

What left the deepest impression on me were the paintings depicting life during the Vietnam War and the French colonial period. The suppressed yet resilient national spirit conveyed in these works is profoundly moving.

Of course, the stone carvings and bronze statues on the first floor are equally impressive, especially the Thousand-Armed Guanyin statue, which is absolutely magnificent!

Although the building itself shows signs of age, with some loose floor tiles, it doesn’t detract from its charm in the slightest.

On the fourth floor, you can not only buy souvenirs but also enjoy beautiful views.

By the end of the visit, I felt like I had not only appreciated art but also attended a vivid history lesson. It was as if my cultural awareness had been elevated several levels in an instant!
