Starting from Guiyang, spending three days at Dragon Boat Festival heading to Jinchengjiang, Hechi, is the true way to understand the romance of a "mountain city"—this small city has no artificial touristy feel, wherever you go you look up to see lush green mountains, the city and nature blend perfectly, and wandering alone is full of surprises.
🌟Must-Visit Route Recommendations
1. Jinchengjiang Park + Baima Pedestrian Street: The former offers an excellent panoramic view of the entire city; from the top, you can take in the mountain-surrounded cityscape. The latter, though a regular pedestrian street, is full of local life vibes—Miniso is still lit at midnight, making night strolls feel very lively.
2. Shuangxi Coffee + Changshou Square: A surprisingly discovered treasure coffee shop! The two lazy cats in the shop are super healing, and even though the coffee is a bit pricey, it’s worth a visit. Walking further from the coffee shop leads to Changshou Square, where the pond’s water lilies are in full bloom during Dragon Boat Festival, making every snapshot picturesque.
3. Riverside Walk (Shangren Bridge - Jiulong Bridge): This is the favorite part of the trip! Starting from Shangren Bridge next to Tonggu Square, slowly walk along the riverbank to Jiulong Bridge, enjoying the river breeze and the view of green mountains and houses on both sides. The evening light and shadows are stunning, and every photo is a healing scene.
