Listen up, friends! I simply cannot allow anyone to have not visited Beihai in Guangxi yet! This is my second time in Beihai, and I regret not discovering this hidden gem earlier. The "Little Potala Palace," fireworks over the sea, ocean boardwalk, "Song of Water and Fire" live performance, and catching seafood in the mangrove forests—each experience filled me with delight. The small fishing village with its dazzling lights in the evening creates a perfectly romantic atmosphere. Who could resist watching a sunset and fireworks by the sea? This place fulfills all my fantasies about the ocean.
Suggested Route
First Port Castle → Sea View Platform → Ximen Ding → Lisi Building → Yanlou Fishing Village → Port Authority Building → Ocean Boardwalk. The scenic area isn't very large. I recommend starting from the right side after entering to avoid crowds when taking photos.
Must-Visit Photo Spots
1. First Port Castle
The pure white buildings are arranged in a staggered pattern, making you feel like you've stepped into a real-life Monument Valley. The pool in front of the castle creates a perfect reflection, giving every casual shot a cinematic quality.
2. Yanlou Fishing Village
This seaside "fishing village" with exotic charm is highly recommended during the blue hour at dusk. By then, the entire village is illuminated, resembling a real-life "Arabian Nights," creating an incredible atmosphere.
3. Sea View Platform
A ship-shaped building that looks stunning from the front! Climb aboard and you can overlook the entire scenic area. Watching the sunset from here is breathtakingly beautiful.
4. Port Authority Building
The iconic building of the scenic area takes on an exotic charm when lit up at night. Watching performances here enhances the experience.
5. Ocean Boardwalk
An extra-long boardwalk extending along the coastline. Taking a stroll here during sunset is incredibly romantic.
Friends, Beihai is truly worth visiting! Save this guide and start planning your Beihai journey now!
