National Treasure [Hikone Castle 🏯]

Hikone Castle is a flat castle built in the first half of the Edo period. It was built by the Ii clan👹, known as one of the Tokugawa Four Heavenly Kings, and the castle tower has been designated a national treasure🈯️. Various other facilities have also been preserved in very good condition. You can feel the atmosphere of the Edo period.

💞Reasons why we recommend it:
Hikone Castle is a building that is expected to become a World Heritage Site🌍 in the future. We just happened to stop by the castle, but it was a much more impressive castle🏯 than we expected. The moat💦 in particular is solid, and the contrast with the stone walls is beautiful. You can also see Lake Biwa👀 from the castle tower. You might even meet Hikonyan.
