Hiroshima Anzo Animal Park
Transportation Guide -
From Hiroshima city, take the Broadcasting Bus (Anzo Minami Line) for about 40 minutes directly to "Anzo Animal Park Station", get off and walk for 3 minutes, the fare is about 500 yen. If you drive the park has a large free parking lot, it is recommended to arrive early on weekends to avoid the crowds.
local attractions -
The largest zoo in Western Japan! The most famous is the Nocturnal Animal Pavilion, where you can see owls, bats and other nocturnal animals. There are also seasonal activities such as super cute water dolphin winter hot spring baths and penguin walks. The park is thoughtfully designed, with many indoor exhibition halls, so you can play even in the rain!
hotel-
Nearby is the business hotel Hiroshima Anzo Onsen Shimizu no Yu, a 10-minute walk to the zoo, and you can take a dip in a natural hot spring to relieve fatigue. For more luxury you can stay at the "Hiroshima Prince Glen Hotel" near Hiroshima Station, which takes about 30 minutes by car.
Food & Restaurants -
There are 4 restaurants in the park, recommending the Hiroshima-yaki set (around 1000 yen) from "Animal Cafeteria". There is a super cute animal-shaped bun stall at the exit. You must buy capybara buns!
Shopping Guide -
The gift shop is super good! There are limited animal-shaped cookies, original dolls, and animal manure fertilizer (for flower growers). If you want to shop, you can go to Hiroshima PARCO, which takes about 35 minutes by car.
Rating - 4.3/5 ⭐️
There are many kinds of animals, rich interactive experiences, and the transportation is convenient, but the park is too big to prepare for the whole day! Suitable for parent-child trips and animal lovers ~ #Hiroshima
