Hita, also known as Mini Kyoto, is a quiet and peaceful rural town near Fukuoka. I visited in early January, which is the peak season for Japanese travel, but it was not crowded and quiet, so it was an even more healing travel destination.ποΈ Since Hita has many picturesque alleys, I highly recommend renting a bicycle and exploring the town. I will tell you everything from where to rent a bicycle to a perfect Hita day trip itinerary!π«Άπ»
---------------------------
β° Travel Schedule
09:00 Nishitetsu Tenjin Express Bus Terminal (Buy Tickets)
09:17 Departure of Hita-bound Bus
11:00 Arrive at Hita, go to the tourist information center to rent a bicycle
11:30 Ride a bicycle across Mamedamachi
(At this time, wait for Hitamabushi Senya and explore the town!)
12:30 Hitamabushi Senya Lunch (Eel rice bowl, highly recommended!)
13:30 Go to a cafe (recommended Alaska or cafebiyori)
15:00 Return the bike and take a bus or taxi from the terminal to Sapporo Beer Factory (bus departs at 15:05, fare 100 yen)
15:30 Sapporo Beer Kyushu Hita Factory (free admission, tasting fee)
16:30 Yumesansui Onsen (family bath, so you can use it with friends, lovers, and family)
17:30 Return to Hita Terminal by 100 yen bus or taxi (if you want a taxi, ask the staff to call you)
18:10 Take a bus to Hita - Tenjin, Hakata (1 hour and a half)
πΈ Cost
- 2-person round-trip bus ticket: 6,320 yen (3,160 yen per person)
- Bicycle rental: 700 yen per person for 3-hour rental (300 yen for the first hour, 200 yen for each additional hour)
- Hitamabushi Senya: Eel rice bowl (regular) 3,500 yen
- Cafe (cafebiyori): 850 yen - 1,500 yen (parfait, very diverse!)
- Sapporo Beer Factory: 400 yen per glass of beer, 200 yen for snacks
- Yumesansui Onsen: Family bath 2,200 yen, open-air bath 800 yen (If you're going with just men, I recommend the open-air bath! The view is really great!)
- Total cost per person: Around 10,000 yen
(I took the bus + walked in Hita, so if you want to take a taxi, you should probably think about 2,000 yen more!)
-----------------------------------
The Hita trip was the most satisfying part of my trip to Fukuoka! Next time, if I have free time, I would like to stay for a night thereπ«Άπ» It is a rising travel destination these days and I also strongly recommend it, so how about Hita for your next Fukuoka travel destination?!ππ€
