Pink Church~ "A touch of pink under the blue sky adds a touch of gentle color to the solemn holy place"
⛪️Introduction to attractions:
The Pink Church was originally named "Sacred Heart of Jesus Church" and is now called "Tin Dinh Church". It is located in District 3 of Ho Chi Minh City and is the second largest Catholic church in Ho Chi Minh City!
The building is painted pink, hence the name. It has become a popular Instagram spot in recent years. The building consists of a main tower and two auxiliary towers. There are five bells and many stained glass windows inside the main tower. The church itself is not big, but many tourists come here to see its beautiful face! !
📕History brief introduction:
In 1858, the French invasion of Danang fired the first shot of colonizing Vietnam. With the efforts of President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam won its sovereign independence. Although it was oppressed by French colonization for a long time, the cultural and artistic works it built are beyond doubt! !
The Pink Church is a Roman Catholic church built in 1876. Its architectural style incorporates many features of Gothic architecture! ! Before the Pink Church was built, it was only built with wooden walls and columns. In 1870, Bishop Eveilard initiated the reconstruction, which took six years to build. The original church was mainly solemn and dignified white, just like European countries. It was not until 1957 that the exterior was painted a touch of girlish pink~
