21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art

When visiting Kanazawa, I highly recommend making a stop at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art. The highlight for me was the famous "Swimming Pool." From a distance, it looks like a regular blue pool where someone might actually dive in for a swim. But once you step inside the museum, you'll discover that you can walk "underwater"! Looking up, you can see the rippling water and people above, while they can see you too. The whole experience feels like you're breathing underwater—it's absolutely fascinating and perfect for photos.

Beyond the pool, the museum's design itself is incredibly inviting. Many of the spaces are open and airy, creating a seamless blend of art and everyday life.
