While most people flock to Tam Coc or Trang An, I rented a bike for just a few dollars and cycled to Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve — and I’m so glad I did. It’s way quieter, almost untouched, and the landscapes are surreal. You ride past buffaloes, lotus ponds, and jagged limestone cliffs, with birds flying overhead and not a single tour bus in sight. No entrance fee, barely any crowds, just raw beauty. This is Vietnam at its most peaceful, and it’s perfect for nature lovers on a budget. #natureonabudget
