Although the Hong Kong Railway Museum is located in the city center of Tai Po Market, it is closer by taking the MTR Tai Wo Station Exit B. The museum is a branch of the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and was rebuilt on the site of the old Tai Po Market Railway Station building.

It mainly displays narrow-gauge steam locomotives, diesel-electric locomotives, historical carriages and other cultural relics. The historical carriages include third-class carriages/carriage room/first-class carriages/engineering carriages, etc. Visitors can go up to visit and take photos, but taking wedding photos/graduation photos and other styling photos is strictly prohibited❌️; The narrow-gauge steam locomotives that ran on the Sha Tau Kok branch line between 1924 and 1928 are very distinctive and really teach you a lot.
