The Western food store on Fuk Wing Street in Cheung Sha Wan offers delicious food and great photo opportunities📸. The interior is decorated in a retro style, with many nostalgic Japanese toys and decorations, and even an arcade machine🕹️. It's unique and full of fun.
Two people ordered a Japanese iron pot rice set for two, which includes one iron pot rice, one oden, and two snacks🥢.
The Three Yellow Chicken Iron Pot Rice🐔 was unexpectedly large, with a generous portion of chicken, including two drumsticks and two wings. The chicken was well-prepared, with slightly crispy skin and juicy meat, and the seasoning was quite flavorful. The iron pot rice was cooked similarly to Italian pasta, with the rice being just the right texture, and it was delicious when eaten with the mushrooms.
The Mentaiko Tamagoyaki🥚 had a firm texture, with a smooth and tender center. The mentaiko was salty and fragrant, and combined with the abundant crab roe, it was doubly delicious.
The Truffle Cheese Fries🍟 were very satisfying for a fries lover, topped with a generous amount of cheese shavings and served with a large bowl of truffle sauce for dipping, which was very satisfying‼️ The thin fries were fried to a perfect crisp.
The oden looked like a small portion, but it actually had quite a lot of ingredients, including daikon, konjac, fish balls, and lion's head meatballs. Most of the ingredients absorbed the soup well, with the daikon being the best, followed by the lion's head meatballs. My friend tried a fish ball with dace fish meat, which was quite special✨.
Since we were there, we had to try the parfait~ The Pistachio Strawberry Parfait🍓 was cute and had a Christmas vibe🎄. Under the two scoops of ice cream, there were dried strawberries and crushed pistachios, giving it a great texture. There was also chocolate, Pocky sticks, and strawberries~
