Sai Kung's Sharp Island is very close to Sai Kung, and only takes about 10 minutes by boat, which is very convenient.
Everyone can come to Sharp Island with different purposes, such as seeing the pineapple rock baptized by nature, the hidden road, watching the sea, watching the sunset, snorkeling🤿, or even schools bring students to explain the origin of pineapple rock.
(I will introduce his other special features one by one later).
This time I will mainly talk about the sunset at Sharp Island.🌅
Although this island is very close to the center of Sai Kung, the beach is not particularly large and there are many rocks, but the selling point of this island is the rocks 🪨, and the most important thing that is worth visiting is its sunset.
I am lucky every time. The weather is good many times. Occasionally, I will see an old man on the island who often writes beautiful words and exquisite sand sculptures. Tourists who see it are reluctant to destroy it, so it is preserved on the island as one of the characteristics.
In order to watch the sunset, I waited until the afternoon when other activities were completed before taking the boat.
Sitting on the boat, feeling the sea breeze and watching the sunset, you can often see the "Jesus light" radiating from the sun😆. It's perfect, really perfect.🧡
Transportation: 🚢⛵️
From various districts to Sai Kung Public Pier
🌟🌟🌟Take the ferry from Sai Kung Public Pier to Sharp Island.
There are several different boat companies at the pier, including Fatty, Cat's, Blue Flag, Red Flag, and Sheng's. There is a boat every 30 minutes.
🎫Ticket price: Sai Kung Pier - Sharp Island HKD $30 round trip
(If you miss a boat or wait too long, you can also take a different boat. Just pay an additional $20 for the return ticket to the other boat operator.)
There are many boats to nearby islands at Sai Kung Public Pier. You can choose where to get off and where to return. The price is slightly different. You can ask the boat staff.
There are convenience stores, bathrooms and toilets on Sharp Island, so you can go there after playing in the water. But you may have to queue when there are many people, and the toilets are not so clean.
⚠️⚠️⚠️
Also remember the last boat, which is usually at 18:00 or 18:30 (you can take a photo of the last boat schedule of the day before departure.)
There are really not many people on weekdays. The water on the island is clear and there are few people. It is very comfortable.
I usually choose to go back on the boat at 5:30pm or 6pm, because that way I can see my favorite sunset😇😇
