Wuyishan Scenic Area
The Wuyishan Scenic Area is located in the central Wuyi Mountain Range, within Wuyishan City, Fujian Province. Covering an area of 60 square kilometers, the winding Nine-Bend Stream, approximately 9 kilometers long, and 36 peaks nestled between cliffs create a breathtaking natural beauty of emerald waters and mountains. Known as the "Three Religions Mountain" and the "First Mountain of Fujian," it is a renowned scenic tourist destination and summer resort in China. Its characteristic Danxia landforms make it one of the first national key scenic spots.
Jiuqu River
Jiuqu Stream flows along the southwestern foot of Huanggang Mountain, the main peak of the Wuyi Mountains, nestled within the steep, rocky valleys of the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province. Its name derives from its three bends and nine curves. Winding freely from west to east, the stream boasts a unique charm in each bend and breathtaking scenery in each bend. The "fourth bend" is where the White Dragon was born in the film "Journey to the West." Each bend offers its own artistic conception, with shallow waters forming shallow shoals and deep pools. A half-day exploration of the Jiuqu River's scenery offers endless opportunities for viewing the stunning scenery, whether by bamboo raft downriver from Xingcun or ascending the steps from Wuyi Palace.
Yixiantian Scenic Area
The Yixiantian Scenic Area, also known as Yizitian, is located in a deep canyon south of Erqu Creek at the southern tip of the Wuyi Mountain range. There, a massive rock, resembling a city wall, stands, named Fulingyan. The rock slopes outward, covering three adjacent caves. A fissure in the cliff's ceiling spans over 100 feet and is less than one meter wide. Leaning into a cave and gazing upward through the fissure, one can witness a breathtaking sight of a thin line of skylight. Key attractions in the Yixiantian Scenic Area include Yixiantian, Louge Rock, Lingxiao Peak, Shimen Rock, and Huxiao Rock. It is one of the few unique and captivating scenic spots in Wuyi Mountain.
