After shopping, we were hungry, and my friend wanted Thai food, so we chose this place, Ah Haan Thai. Inside the restaurant, there is a large moon-shaped light decoration that is very eye-catching. The dishes here are all beautifully plated, especially the desserts, which have a bit of a Western fusion feel.
Coconut Chicken Soup (1 serving) $68
We ordered a bowl of coconut chicken soup to share between two people. The soup is fragrant with coconut milk, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, and other spices. It’s quite spicy, perfect for friends who like spicy food.
Thai Drunken Cat Stir-fried Black Pork Handmade Rice Rolls $138
The handmade rice rolls are very unique, somewhat like large flat rice noodles, with a very chewy texture. Combined with tender slices of black pork, stir-fried to perfection with a strong wok hei flavor.
Ah Haan Thai Lucky Charcoal Grill Platter $258
The charcoal grill platter is very rich and fragrant with the aroma of charcoal as soon as it arrives at the table. It includes tiger prawns, grilled beef, lemongrass chicken skewers, squid tentacles, as well as grilled pineapple, tomatoes, and assorted mushrooms. The tiger prawns are fresh, crisp, and bouncy, and the pineapple is sweet and juicy. The most special is definitely the lemongrass chicken skewers, made by wrapping chicken thigh meat around lemongrass and grilling it. The chicken is tender and absorbs the lemongrass aroma. If you like spicy food, you can also add some spicy sauce to eat with it.
Coconut Mango Black Sticky Rice $78
The black sticky rice is chewy and soft. Surprisingly, there is a mango layer in the middle of the rice. Combined with mango pieces on top, crispy sugar, coconut flakes, and coconut milk, every bite tastes the sweet and sour mango and rich coconut flavor.
