Visited the Picasso Exhibition "Dialogue with Asia" at M+
Watched Rachid’s "The Body of Limitlessness" at the Xiqu Centre
Queued at Bakehouse to treat an old friend to desserts
Had an Espresso Alchemy ranked in the global top 100+ on Nathan Road
Though it was a hastily arranged itinerary, the 48 hours were packed with a continuous assault of art and food from Hong Kong and Macau. The seamless switch between the two cities was truly the pinnacle of a short getaway!
✅ "Picasso – Dialogue with Asia" M+ Annual Highlight
Unlike 🇪🇸 Spain, this exhibition mainly features works from the Paris National Museum, with over 60 originals such as "The Acrobats." Honestly, I have to praise our immersive digital curation, which is far ahead of overseas. Here, not only can you explore the creative process behind masterpieces like "Guernica" and "Les Demoiselles d'Avignon," but you can also participate in creation in front of footage of Picasso painting. Definitely worth experiencing.
✅ "The Body of Limitlessness," Rewriting Free Verse with the Flesh
A masterpiece by Rachid, director of the French Chaillot National Theatre, praised by The New York Times as "the 60 minutes most worth watching in 2023," and a special touring performance for this year’s Hong Kong "French May Festival."
Using high-wire walking and rock climbing as brushstrokes, ten dancers leap like ibexes on vertical cliffs, splashing ink in the theater to create an extreme dialogue between body and will.
