🚶🏼♀️Wandering in an old market that has been "revitalized"⭐️Central Market✨

Located opposite the Hang Seng Bank headquarters, Central Market, and at the intersection of Des Voeux Road Central, this used to be the realm of "Tsui Wah." After Tsui Wah declined, the original large shop was taken over by "No. 2 Ice Room."
I tried some of the more challenging cha chaan teng dishes: scallion oil chicken chop with fried egg rice, and ice cream red bean ice. The rice and scallion oil in the former matched quite well; the chicken chop’s exterior was fragrant and relatively tender. This simple Hong Kong-style plate rice was cooked quite well.
The ice cream red bean ice looks simple, but the key is the ice cream and red beans. Both: the ice cream is quite dense, taking 10 minutes to melt, and the melted ice cream blends well with the red bean ice; the red beans have a good bite, though they could be a bit bigger 😅
With the quality of this cha chaan teng’s offerings and the nearby foot traffic, revitalizing Tsui Wah’s prosperity won’t be difficult. It might even have the chance to elevate local cha chaan teng culture to another creative peak.
📍Address: Des Voeux Road Central, diagonally opposite Hang Seng Bank headquarters, opposite Central Market
💰Average spending: HKD 80
