Tsim Sha Tsui is my favorite place to stroll around
Must-visit attractions:
· Avenue of Stars: Take photos like Li Ka-shing and enjoy the beautiful Victoria Harbour view
· Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower: A Republic of China era building, a must-visit for photos, feel the history
· Victoria Harbour: Charming night view, perfect for a walk
Must-visit malls:
· Harbour City: Home to over 450 shops, from luxury brands to popular ones, a one-stop shopping experience.
· K11: A new cultural retail landmark, a perfect blend of art and shopping, great for taking beautiful photos both indoors and outdoors.
Besides shopping, my foodie brain focuses most on eating
Local friends’ secret 5 shops to try authentic and exquisite dishes🌟
▫️【Wah Chai Café】A Kowloon tea restaurant I specifically flew from Hong Kong Island to eat!
A hidden treasure in Mong Kok Yalan Centre! The local’s top choice for afternoon tea~ The cheese pineapple bun oozes cheese as soon as it’s served, the crust is so crispy it flakes; the buttered pork bun filled with butter and condensed milk, paired with creamy scrambled eggs that melt in your mouth!
▫️【Bili Garden · Fine Cantonese Cuisine】
A neighborhood tea house on Gage Street, Central! The almond white lung soup is cooked to a smooth texture, full of almond aroma; the spicy abalone chicken pot has a fresh numbing peppercorn flavor, and the chicken is tender and not tough. The panda custard bun is made fresh by the chef, with a perfectly flowing sesame filling~ Few tourists, all locals lining up!
▫️【Charcoal Dining En】
A local hidden yakitori spot in Causeway Bay! The charcoal-grilled salted fish sauce is super fragrant, almost every table orders it; seasonal hairy crab is fried crispy, dipped in matcha salt, one bite at a time, perfect with drinks~ Book early on weekends to get a seat!
▫️【Under the Bridge Spicy Crab】
A 30-year neighborhood shop! The typhoon shelter fried crab claws are bigger than fists, the meat is tender and bouncy, the leftover sauce is perfect for rice and so delicious you’ll lick the bowl; the mantis shrimp is longer than an arm, stir-fried typhoon shelter style with strong wok hei, even celebrities visiting Hong Kong must check in here~
▫️【Sangen Teppanyaki】
A Michelin-recommended Japanese restaurant in Causeway Bay! The Japanese chef grills the flounder crispy on the outside and tender inside, the fish bursts with juice; the cold tomato sorbet mixed with mascarpone cheese is refreshing and creamy, full of craftsmanship~
Follow this food trail and you won’t go wrong!
