Hong Kong’s Hidden Edge: A Quiet Day at Cape D’Aguilar

Cape D'Aguilar Lighthouse, also known as the D'Aguilar Point Lighthouse, is the first lighthouse in Hong Kong. It is one of the five pre-war lighthouses and one of the oldest surviving lighthouses in Hong Kong. It was declared a Hong Kong monument on March 3, 2006.
The lighthouse is a white cylindrical structure built from granite, about 9.7 meters tall. Its base and arched entrance are made of roughly hewn stone blocks. (Visitors can only freely explore around the base of the lighthouse and are not allowed inside to avoid interfering with its daily operation.)
There are not many other attractions near the lighthouse. It mainly suits those who love historical artifacts and want to visit a site of great historical value. 💡 (Personally, I believe anything with historical significance is definitely worth seeing. Besides taking photos, you can learn and gain more knowledge, which is absolutely a good thing. 😆
💡💡💡
Besides the lighthouse, Cape D'Aguilar also features photo spots like the Hong Kong version of the End of the Earth, Thunder Sound Cave, Crab Cave, and the Coastal Protection Area.
💡💡💡
Each attraction in the Cape D'Aguilar Coastal Protection Area has different branching paths. When you arrive, you can choose which spot to visit first.
(I personally visited Crab Cave and Thunder Sound Cave first, then returned to visit the lighthouse.) 🙈
🌟🌟🌟
Everyone is responsible for protecting the environment; take your own trash with you.
The weather is hot, so remember to protect yourself from the sun, bring enough water, and avoid heatstroke.
It is recommended to wear light-colored, thin long pants and a sun-protective jacket to prevent sunburn and mosquito bites.
