The Tsim Sha Tsui and Central waterfronts in Hong Kong are prime spots for tourists. On the Tsim Sha Tsui side, there are the well-known Space Museum and Art Museum, while on the Central side, the Hong Kong Maritime Museum is located at Pier 8.

The Maritime Museum is a private museum with an admission fee of HKD 30, so it is not too crowded. Although the pier is not large, the three-story museum houses a rich collection covering maritime artifacts from ancient to modern China, the development of Hong Kong’s maritime history, and many model ships perfect for photos.

Recommended visit duration: 1-2 hours.
Transportation: Star Ferry Tsim Sha Tsui route, Fortune Ferry Hung Hom-Central route, MTR Hong Kong Station and Central Station.
