If you're in Hong Kong, you've gotta hit up Lantau Island and climb those iconic stairs to the Big Buddha—seriously, this spot is a must! 🙌 The Ngong Ping 360 cable car was out of commission when I visited, so we hopped on a bus from Tung Chung Station instead. Pro tip: you can stash your luggage at Citygate Outlets (20 Tat Tung Rd, Tung Chung, open 10am-10pm) before heading out.
We arrived super early, which meant epic photo ops with hardly anyone else in the background. Highly recommend if you want those Insta-worthy snaps! 📸✨ The restaurants around Ngong Ping Village don’t open till 11am, so we made a quick stop at the bakery for breakfast. The tofu snacks here? SO good.
Heads up, it gets mega hot in the afternoon! Bring your umbrella and portable fan—you’ll thank yourself later. 🌞 Tons of benches around so you can chill and soak up the zen vibes if your legs need a break. The views? Total knockout.
Address: Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, Hong Kong
Big Buddha Opening Hours: 10am–5:30pm
Honestly, this is one of my fave chill spots in Hong Kong. Go early, bring snacks, and get ready for an unforgettable adventure!#travel #naturalwonders #myitinerary
