West Kowloon M+ Museum: A Must-Visit Art and Culture Spot

Hong Kong has seen many more art and cultural photo spots in recent years, even going to museums has become a kind of Lifestyle ~ This time I want to recommend the M+ Museum in West Kowloon, especially the Noguchi Yong exhibition area! The point is: it's really free to enter, and you can feel the world-class art atmosphere, becoming a good choice for weekends and don't want to walk around the streets often 😉

[M+ Noguchi Exhibition Line Highlights]
This trip only focuses on M+. When you see Yu Noguchi's work, you will find that sculptures can be so simple, powerful, and suitable for taking pictures📸! M+ venue is huge, outside the window is the view of the Victoria Harbour, every corner inside is full of modern art atmosphere, the author personally tried - strolling comfortably, definitely worth slowly enjoying!

🖼️ Sightseeing and recommendations
📍 M+ Museum
Address: M+ Cultural District, 38 Museum Road, Kowloon West, Hong Kong
Tickets: Standard adult ticket $174 (but Noguchi is free to enter, the museum often has special exhibitions to look out for)
Opening hours: Closed on Mondays;Tuesday-Thursday, Saturday, Sunday 10:00-18:00 (last entry 17:30);Friday 10:00-22:00 (last entry 21:30)

Once you enter M+, in addition to the Noguchi Yong exhibition, other permanent exhibitions are also super exciting - containing Asian modern art, photography, design and architecture exhibition areas, different art fans can find their favorite corner. The Noguchi exhibition is filled with its classic sculptures and design furniture, which is quiet yet extremely detailed. There is also a multimedia exhibition area, which is perfect for families to explore together.

🔖 Real experience + itinerary tips
The biggest realization this time is that it turns out that watching the exhibition can be very chill and do not have to grab time! Unlike the usual crowds of large shopping malls in Hong Kong, the M+ pavilion is very spacious. You can sit down and appreciate each work during the exhibition. It is recommended that you go on Friday night, the museum is open until night, the atmosphere is particularly quiet, and you can sit at the window and watch the night view. Some of the exhibition areas have a lounge area, where you can bring a little snack, but the restaurant in the museum is quite good, focusing on light meals, desserts and coffee, slow life for half a day is really not difficult ~

🚇 Transportation guide
M+ is located in the West Kowloon Cultural District, the nearest MTR station is Kowloon Station (about 10-15 minutes walk), or take the Light Rail West Kowloon Station. You can visit the nearby Forbidden City Cultural Museum or the waterfront promenade on the way, which is very convenient for a day trip.

📢 Tips
1. Open on Friday night, do not have to rush the exhibition, interested can arrange after work to chill.
2. Free exhibitions require early online registration, pay more attention to M+ official website, some special exhibitions may have to book in advance.
3. Bring your camera/phone, the museum’s interior and exterior design is great, great for taking pictures!
4. If you go for the first time, it is recommended to reserve at least 2-3 hours, walk slowly area by area, do not miss Noguchi Yongzhan.
