Recently, there have been many coffee shops with Moroccan or Turkish style, allowing Hong Kong people to take a pseudo-travel. Today I came to a Moroccan coffee shop that is a must-visit on my personal list. There are many locations where you can check in.
Location: Take Exit A2 of Sheung Wan MTR Station and walk towards Lascar Row. You will see the alley on Hollywood Road with a sign pointing to Wah Lane.
Environment: The facade is decorated in dark blue, and the interior has a basement and a first floor. The check-in area on the ground floor is a blue staircase near the door, modeled after the blue town of Chefchaouen in Morocco. The stairs are filled with colorful potted plants, and it really feels like being in a foreign country, so there are often customers at this location. On the other side is a bar counter and a booth with Turkish carpets. Going up the stairs with totem tiles, upstairs is a dining area full of Turkish characteristics, hung with colorful mosaic chandeliers and ethnic carpets. The decoration is very thoughtful, and with relaxing music, it creates a comfortable atmosphere and environment.
Service: No extra charge on weekdays.
Lunch: 🍝Spaghetti Laksa with Shrimp🍤 $138
I eat a lot of laksa soup noodles, and the first time I tried it with fried spaghetti, I was surprised. The spaghetti was thin and covered with sauce, and the laksa sauce was very prominent, a little spicy, with shrimp 🍤, tofu, mushrooms and other ingredients. The overall taste was delicious and the portion was normal.
🍔150g August Beef Burger $138
The bread is spread with butter and baked dry, and the hamburger patty is of medium thickness. When cut, you can see the pink degree of doneness. The meat is a bit chewy and has a solid texture with a strong beef flavor. It is paired with other fillings such as cheese, tomatoes and lettuce to present a classic taste. There are also salad 🥗 and French fries 🍟 as side dishes, which are enough to fill you up.
☕Caffe Latte $38
The swan latte art is thoughtful, not too milky, and the coffee is strong enough without being bitter.
🍵Matcha $52
The latte art is eye-catching. I personally like this latte art very much. The matcha concentration is high and the cup is large. It is a must-try for matcha lovers.
