A Dreamlike Adventure into the Moonlit Cave

Hualien is not just about beautiful mountains and waters—it’s far from boring!
If you think otherwise, you probably haven’t visited 👉🏻【Moon Cave Recreation Area】.
This geological wonder hidden in Shoufeng Township is Taiwan’s only stalactite cave that you can explore by boat. It’s mysterious, stunning, and beyond imagination!

🛶 Entering the underground cave, discover Taiwan’s adventurous side
Moon Cave is a naturally formed limestone karst cave. With underground springs flowing year-round, it creates a unique "water-based stalactite cave" landscape.

You’ll need to board a small boat to enter the dimly lit underground world. As you glide along the waterway, you’ll see cave walls adorned with stalactites, stalagmites, and various oddly shaped rock formations. Some resemble dragons, towers, or faces—let your imagination interpret them!

✨ Deep within the cave lies a curved opening
It resembles a crescent moon, which is how "Moon Cave" got its name.

🧭 How to explore? Experience details and tips
• Upon arrival, you can purchase tickets directly. Staff will guide you on inflatable boats into the cave, with each trip lasting about 10–15 minutes.
• Safety gear is provided on the boat. Wear a life jacket and listen to the guide’s explanations—it’s both safe and educational.
• The cave is dimly lit and cool, making it suitable for visits year-round.
