The world's top canyon landscapes are found in Taroko National Park.

Since we were traveling from Nantou to Hualien, we decided to cross the Central Mountain Range and visit Taroko National Park along the way! This national park is renowned for its majestic cliffs, river terraces, expansive alluvial fans at river mouths, and stunning gorges. The Liwu River has carved through the Central Mountain Range, and the park is located at the boundary between the Eurasian Plate and the Philippine Sea Plate, showcasing numerous signs of tectonic activity. However, due to frequent earthquakes and typhoons, the geological conditions are quite unstable. In many areas, prolonged stays are not recommended, and visitors are even advised to wear safety helmets. It's a rare opportunity to visit, and every time, I'm awestruck by its spectacular landscapes!
