Chaotic rocks shatter the clouds, startling waves split the shore, rolling up a thousand heaps of snow. The landscape is like a painting, filled for a moment with so many heroes.
In distant thought of Gongjin back then, with young Qiao just wed, a figure so brave and handsome. With a feather fan and a silk cap, between talks and laughter, the mighty enemy is reduced to ashes and smoke. A spiritual journey to the old country, sentimental should laugh at me, for prematurely graying hair. Life is like a dream, toasting the moon over the river with a cup in hand.
'Nian Nu Jiao·Chibi Huai Gu' is a masterpiece that has shaken the souls of the Chinese people. Coming to Dongpo Red Cliffs located in Huanggang, Hubei, one can see how many people through the ages have chanted and engraved this work. Su Shi, one of the most charismatic poets in Chinese history, had an astonishing talent, blending a personality of boldness and innocence, unstrained elegance and wisdom.
