This Qinghai small loop trip was super relaxing, and the highlight was seeing so many healing landscapes✨ At Riyue Mountain, I got to pet soft and cute lambs, and by Qinghai Lake, I unexpectedly encountered elegant swans. Every scene looked like a fairy tale～

Day 1: Huangyuan - Riyue Mountain - Qinghai Lake
📍 Riyue Mountain (40 km southwest of Huangyuan County, Xining City, Qinghai Province)
Opening hours: 4.15-10.14 7:00-19:00 / 10.15-4.14 9:00-17:00
Entrance fee: 30 RMB
Be sure to experience petting the lambs! So soft and perfect for cuddling～ The prayer flags on the mountaintop are stunning under the sunlight. Remember to wear bright clothes for photos📸

📍 Qinghai Lake
Qinghai Lake is truly breathtaking! At this season, you can see many white swans swimming by the lake. It’s recommended to come between 4-6 PM when the light is the gentlest; photos taken then have a natural filter effect.

Day 2: Chaerhan Salt Lake

🥰 Real experience:
1. Chartered car is really convenient! The distances between attractions are far, driving yourself is tiring, and the driver will also take you to less crowded scenic spots.
2. Riyue Mountain is at a high altitude, remember to bring a jacket and avoid strenuous exercise.
3. When taking photos with local herders’ lambs, remember to ask the price first; usually about 10 RMB lets you pet them to your heart’s content.

🍜 Food recommendations:
Yogurt, hand-pulled mutton, yak meat hotpot—Qinghai’s dairy products are amazing! I recommend trying the locally made yak yogurt, it’s super rich.

Riyue Mountain suits ethnic-style outfits, Qinghai Lake is best with light colors that match the blue sky and lake! Sunglasses and scarves are a must, and be sure to apply sunscreen.
