| A Hidden Ancient Town in Yunnan Without Tourists. 👍🏻 Why We Recommend:
Everyone, you must visit Baiwu Village in Qujing, Yunnan! 🍃 This village has an incredibly long history dating back to the Western Han Dynasty. Though called an ancient town, it remains largely undeveloped and unpublicized. Without the hustle and bustle of tourist crowds, you can walk along the bluestone paths connecting hundreds of ancient buildings, immersed in classical charm 🍃
The ancient architectural complex here is rich in heritage 🎈, preserving nearly a hundred old guild halls, ancestral temples, shrines, and residences from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The city walls, Chen family residence, Fortune God Temple, and Three Saints Palace showcase exquisite craftsmanship and deep cultural heritage. Baiwu Village is often shrouded in morning mist, which is how it got its name. The clear streams and small bridges create a perfect traditional Chinese watertown atmosphere. Plus, there's zero commercialization and development, no noisy commercial facilities, maintaining its authentic charm that surpasses many other ancient towns. It's incredibly photogenic and versatile for photos. Most importantly, there are few visitors, making it a must-visit for those who love off-the-beaten-path destinations.
