Huizhou Beihu Park, a poetic oasis in the city

Located on the left side of Huizhou Avenue, the park's entrance is marked by a large sign with the words "Beihu Park" standing at the base of a large tree. From the avenue, you can only see a dense forest, which might seem ordinary at first glance. However, once you step inside, you'll discover a hidden gem.

Entering the park feels like stepping into a Jiangnan water town. Small bridges, flowing streams, and quaint houses create a picturesque scene. The morning sun rises slowly over the bridge, casting shimmering ripples on the lake, while birds chirp merrily among the bamboo groves. The scenery here is vastly different from the modern images you might find online. Perhaps the photographers failed to capture the park's unique charm.

The park's most iconic feature, showcasing the beauty of Jiangnan water towns, is its variety of small bridges with different designs. On the bridges, you might see children fishing, while beneath them, middle-aged visitors relax peacefully. Along the forest paths, a few locals stroll by, and the sound of an elder playing a flute occasionally drifts through the air. Everyone can find their own little corner of tranquility here, creating a harmonious scene where no one disturbs another.

All the attractions in the park are built around the lake. In addition to the small bridges, there are several modern viewing platforms along different paths, each with unique designs, offering various perspectives to appreciate the scenery. After walking a short distance, I couldn't help but turn back to view the same scene from a different angle, discovering yet another layer of beauty. Beihu Park is a "hidden gem in the city," nestled among the high-rise buildings of Jiangbei. From here, you can see the Huamao Tower, enjoying a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere.

The park offers parking spaces, and public transportation options include getting off at "Beihu Park" or "Convention Center" stops, making it very convenient to visit.
