Complete transportation guide for one-day Ibusuki trip

This time from Kagoshima to Ibusuki, we took the 11:56 Limited Express Ibusuki Tamatebox. You can get enough sleep before starting this trip.

If you can't make it to Ibusuki Tamatehako on the return trip, you can just take a regular shuttle bus. There are buses back to Kagoshima in the evening.

There are very few local transportation services in Ibusuki.
There are only three buses a day to Nagasakibana
(9:05/11:05/13:05, there are only two buses at 11:05/13:05 on holidays)
The return bus time from Nagasaki-na is
(11:09/13:09/15:04, same as 13:09/15:04 on holidays)
If your itinerary only requires a round trip to Nagasaki and a steaming trip, it would be more cost-effective to buy a one-day PASS!

If you want to take the Kasaki-Oyama Station, get on the bus from Nagasakibashi and get off at the Tokuko Public Hall. You will see a sign for Nishi-Ozan.
It takes about 30 minutes to walk 1.6KM
Along the way there are green farmland and Kaiwen Mountain in the distance.
It's quite comfortable to walk around, but it may get a bit hot in the summer~
After arriving at Nishi-Oyama Station, you can take a photo break, browse souvenir shops and wait for the JR train to arrive.

After returning to Ibusuki Station, you can go for a sand steam bath. After a day of walking, a sand steam bath is just right for you. It’s super comfortable!
(It takes about 20 minutes to walk to Sunashi Kaikan, and there are also taxis scheduled in front of the station for about 800 yen)
