Cape Nagasakihana is located at the southernmost tip of the Satsuma Peninsula in Kyushu, Japan. It is also called Ryuguhana and is the birthplace of the Japanese legend "Urashima Taro". However, it is not the southernmost point of Kyushu, as the Osumi Peninsula on the east side of Kagoshima Bay extends 20 kilometers to the south.
A highlight of visiting Cape Nagasaki is the view of nearby Mount Kaimon, which stands at 924 meters above sea level. Due to its striking resemblance to Mount Fuji, it is often referred to as "Satsuma Fuji".
Kaiwendake is accessible by foot, and through the winding trails on the mountainside, you can enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding area.
When the weather is fine, you can see Tanegashima and the World Natural Heritage Yakushima in the distance from the lighthouse at Cape Nagasaki. Especially when the sun sets and gradually sinks into the sea, the sunset dyes the surroundings red, which is an impressive sight.
Another attraction at the cape is the Nagasaki Flower Parking Lot, which displays a variety of tropical plants and animals such as lemurs, flamingos, squirrels, monkeys, hibiscus, cacti and mango trees. #Overseas Travel #Japan Travel #Japan Good Places #Japan Travel Guide #Japan Photography #Japan Kyushu #Pacific Ocean View #Island Holiday #Mountain
