Larch Valley

Larch Valley is a popular hiking spot during the fall foliage season at Moraine Lake. The beautiful mountain scenery contrasts with the yellow larch trees, creating a stunning atmosphere. The hike is easy, starting from the lake and covering a distance of about 5 kilometers. The trail is relatively easy, but be cautious as it can be slippery with snow at times. It's advisable to bring snow spikes for better traction. Once you reach the top, the breathtaking views are perfect for photography. Bring food for a picnic so you can relax and enjoy the scenery while eating, as there are no food vendors at the top. Make sure to take care of any personal needs before hiking up, as there are no restrooms available. It's best to book an early morning bus to have enough time to hike up and return without missing the last bus. Booking the bus can be a bit challenging as there are specific times when reservations open, so it's best to book early. Private vehicles are not allowed at the lake; you must take the bus to get there.
