Incheon day trip? Let’s go! 🍜✨ This city west of Seoul is home to South Korea’s largest Chinatown—think vibrant alleys, bold architecture, and snack heaven all in one spot. The street food scene is next level, and it’s a super easy add-on if you’re anywhere near Seoul.
Top Spot to Visit: Incheon Chinatown
Location: 12-17 Chinatown-ro 26beon-gil, Jung-gu, Incheon
Hours: Open all day, year-round!
Getting here is a breeze—just hop on Seoul Metro’s Line 1 straight to Incheon Station (the last stop). It costs just 1,300 to 1,900 won one way and takes about an hour from downtown Seoul. Trust me, the metro is the most cost-effective and straightforward way to get here—no need to fuss with taxis or tour buses!
Once you walk out of Incheon Station, Chinatown is right across the street. Grab a bite of Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) at one of the local spots and don’t miss out on trying some street food: honey pastries, steamed buns, and spicy tanghulu. This whole area pops with red gates, murals, and a distinctly Chinese-Korean flavor.
Quick Tips:
- Bring cash—many street food stalls don’t take cards.
- Weekends get busy, so go on a weekday if you want to snap photos without the crowds.
- Make sure you explore the nooks and side alleys—lots of hidden gems and photo ops away from the crowds.
Getting Around: Walking is all you need in Chinatown! Public metro is your friend for everything else.
Food Recs: Jajangmyeon and tanghulu are MUST-eats!
