📍Galata Bridge
Kemankeş Karamustafa Paşa, Galata Köprüsü, 34425 Beyoğlu/İstanbul, Turkey
Galata Bridge is a representative building that symbolizes Istanbul, connecting Eminonu Pier in the old city of Istanbul with Karakoy Pier in the new city.
It is a spot that many tourists visit 🇹🇷
Of course, the view from the bridge is spectacular, but we must not forget the men fishing on the bridge.
These men add a nice touch to this view.
Everyone is fishing in a line.
And when you look at the buckets, you can see that they have caught quite a few fish.
I guess that's why everyone is fishing.
What happens to this fish?
Istanbul's specialty mackerel sandwich🐟
I've eaten at many food stalls around the world,
but mackerel sandwiches are one of the top five gourmet foods🍽️
I ate it at a makeshift food stall-like place made of stacked styrofoam at the foot of the bridge, and it was a big hit.
They grill it over charcoal right in front of you!
At the end, they pour soy sauce over it,
and the aroma of burnt soy sauce is irresistible for Japanese people🤤
The fatty mackerel and soy sauce flavor were the best🧡
It was 140TL in April 2024, which is the market price compared to other places.
(Please check the latest information as prices are rising rapidly in Turkey⚠️)
The one drawback is that when I went there thinking I'd eat it again,
because it's a makeshift food stall,
the food stall itself wasn't there😭
The next day, it was in a slightly more remote place.
It's elusive, so you might be lucky if you find it! ?
