We spent more than 4 hours wandering through the beautiful grounds of Topkapi Palace. You can explore the 3 courtyards and their many gardens and pavillons, as well as the iconic palace harems where the royal women and children stayed. You can also see how the palace overlooks the Bosphorus Strait and watch the many ferries and ships go by. Wonder at the vivid blue mosaic tiles and intricate Islamic architecture in the palace rooms, before heading over to the Sacred Relic collection featuring items such as Moses’ staff. The Imperial Treasury is also extremely impressive and has large gemstones set in beautiful objects and jewelry. A must see for all visitors to Istanbul!
