My friend and I, who are both backpackers, decided to take Jeju Bus No. 240 to Yeongsil Ticket Office and go up.
However, even though we got off at Yeongsil Ticket Office, we couldn't see the entrance to the mountain right away.
The entrance to Yeongsil Trail is about 40 minutes more from here.
Our plan was to take a picture of the upper Seoreum from the Yeongsil Trail entrance and go down to Eorimok Information Center.
(There is a time limit for entering Yeongsil Trail. During the spring and autumn seasons, you must arrive at Yeongsil Trail by 2 PM.)
The Yeongsil Course is made of stairs, so it was easy to go up.
Of course, it wasn't a walk. (My butt hurts when I'm a hiker.)
As we climbed up, an indescribably beautiful view unfolded before us.
The weather was changeable, with clear skies, fog, and rain, but the blue sky and beautiful nature that seemed like miracles here and there were enough reasons to come here.
When I went down, I went down the Eorimok course, but I regretted that choice.
There were no proper stairs, and the view was just a mountain.
For me, who didn't have a hiking stick, going down was too painful.
I barely managed to come down.
For beginner hikers like me, if you want to try climbing Hallasan, I recommend going up the Yeongsil course and then coming down the Yeongsil course!!
The scenery was spectacular, and it was worth it because it was made up of stairs.😀
