Hallasan Mountain

Hallasan Mountain, located at the center of Jeju Island, is a national park and the highest mountain in South Korea, standing at 1,947 meters. It is a natural attraction that showcases unique beauty throughout the four seasons. In spring, the mountain is covered with azaleas and royal azaleas; in summer, it offers lush green forests and refreshing breezes; in autumn, vibrant autumn foliage; and in winter, the majestic beauty of snow-covered peaks. These seasonal changes make it a favorite destination for hikers. The most popular hiking trails are the Seongpanak Trail and the Gwaneumsa Trail, which can be chosen based on one's physical condition and schedule. Reaching the summit takes over 8 hours round trip, requiring good physical preparation and planning. Especially in winter, crampons and warm clothing are essential. However, the breathtaking view of Baengnokdam Crater Lake at the summit makes all the effort worthwhile. After hiking, enjoying Jeju's traditional dishes, such as pork noodle soup or black pork BBQ, adds another layer of delight to the experience. For hiking enthusiasts, climbing Hallasan Mountain is a must-do bucket list item.
