🔆 Weekends in Chengdu are perfect for a trip to Jianyang. I planned a half-day Jianyang tour and would like to share my experience with you.
📣 Recommended route: Shiqiao Town (Youth Photo Studio) ➡️ Aoshan Park Yinguang Square ➡️ Amitabha Temple ➡️ Food Street ➡️ Baita Park
🚄 I strongly recommend taking a high-speed train to Jianyang. It only costs CNY 27 and takes about 20 minutes!
🎫 All attractions are free and do not require reservations. Taxi rides between attractions cost less than CNY 10.
🥙 Food recommendations:
✅ Yangyangtianxia Mutton Soup
Jianyang is famous for its mutton soup. The streets are lined with mutton soup restaurants. If you don't know which one to choose, try this one recommended by my friend from Jianyang. The mutton is tender, and the soup is white and rich. Delicious and affordable! The 2021 Mutton Food Culture Tourism Festival is about to open. Don't miss it!
✅ Jianxing Jiang Braised Goose
A daily dish for Jianyang people. The braised goose is drizzled with hot oil, making the skin crispy and the meat tender. If you go late, you may not be able to buy it, but there are many stores. All the braised dishes are delicious. I brought some back to Chengdu for my family and friends, and they were very happy!
✅ Yueying Liangfen: Try the white liangfen, yellow liangfen, and cold noodles, especially the sweet and sour spicy cold noodles!
The streets of the old town are lined with houses with bacon and sausages hanging outside. The elderly chat at their doorsteps, and children play at the street corners. 📷 Many places are perfect for street photography. The town is full of ancient charm and life. 🏘 It's a small town that makes you want to live there.
