📷 Recently, I visited the Lushihui Historical District in Jiaxing. This place used to be the commercial center and trade hub of Jiaxing, witnessing the prosperity and changes of the Jiangnan Canal. It got the beautiful name 'Lushihui' because the riverbanks were often piled with bundles of reed mats in the past.
🌳 Lushihui is surrounded by rivers on three sides, with traditional houses featuring blue tiles and white walls built along the river. The district has small bridges, flowing water, and weeping willows, resembling a moving ink painting. These buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties have weathered the storms but still maintain their original appearance, exuding a strong Jiangnan charm.
🌺 At the same time, Lushihui cleverly integrates modern elements and creative industries. There are not only various shops but also the Kaiyuan Guantang Hotel and cultural creative spaces themed around canal culture. Visitors can enjoy tea, chat, shop, and relax here, unlocking a one-stop Jiangnan water town vacation experience.
👍 To recreate the commercial prosperity of Lushihui in the past, the district regularly hosts various activities, such as beer and lobster night markets, open-air movie screenings, and interactive singer performances. These activities enrich the visitor experience and allow everyone to feel the leisure and comfort of the Jiangnan water town.
❤️ The district is also scattered with many historical sites, such as the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Diversion Pier, Shuangkui Alley, Xiucheng Bridge, and Chujia Bridge. These ancient sites witness the long history and profound cultural heritage of Lushihui, serving as important windows for visitors to explore the Jiangnan Canal culture and understand the changes in Jiaxing city.
🌸 The Lushihui Historical District, which integrates dining, leisure, culture, and creativity, is open to the public for free all day. Here, everyone can slow down, feel the gentle flow of the canal, and the soft charm of Jiangnan. Interested friends might as well take a stroll.
🎊 Continuously updating, please ➕ follow and give a thumbs up 👍 if you like it~ Thank you for your support!
