Looking up at the multitude of Buddhas on Thousand Buddha Mountain

Thousand Buddha Mountain (Entrance fee: ¥30) is not very high and seems easy to hike, so I decided not to take the cable car. Except for the last 200 meters of steep stone steps leading to the summit, the entire trail is relatively easy to walk.

The scenic area is lush with greenery and features numerous Buddha stone carvings and temples to explore at leisure. Xingguo Zen Temple, originally built during the Sui Dynasty, now showcases architectural styles from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. On the mountain, there is a massive statue of Maitreya Buddha where visitors can sincerely pray for blessings. Upon reaching the summit, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Jinan city, with an impressively wide field of vision.
