The "Pig Koi" at Baotu Spring in Jinan recently went viral. Their round, plump bodies are called 🐷, and it’s not to mock them—it’s a realistic description!
.
A few days ago, I came to Jinan, and of course, I had to visit Baotu Spring, known as the "Number One Spring Under Heaven." Seeing it in person made me realize how lively it is!
After several days of rain, Jinan transformed into a southern Jiangnan. The spring water surged up fiercely from the bottom of the pool, bubbling like boiling water. The water is so clear you can see the underwater plants and swimming fish. Whether it’s the quality of the spring water or the spirit of the place, the koi here 🐟 are really fat and look very well-fed!
.
The best place to watch the "Pig Koi Squad" is the spring pool near Guanlan Pavilion, which is the gathering area for the koi 🐟.
The "Pig Koi" that went viral online reportedly died during the National Day holiday from overeating, which is really unfortunate!
The ones you see now are potential "Pig Koi," also plump. To prevent them from suffering the same fate, the park security guards are strictly forbidding visitors from feeding them anymore!
