Yongtai Ancient City is also known as "Turtle City"
My first impression of the ancient city came from a documentary I watched in middle school.
From that time on, I was full of yearning for the mystery of the ancient city.
At that time, there were still residents in the village and a few students in the school.
Now when you step into the ancient city, you will see ruins.
There are only two or three households left, mostly elderly people who look after their sheep.
Most of the dilapidated houses have been demolished.
There are many broken walls left.

📌 Recommended tour routes from Lanzhou:

Basically two days is enough, three or four days if you have enough time
🗺️ Address: Yongtai Ancient City, Jingtai County, Baiyin, Gansu
🚗 Transportation: Self-driving is recommended (more than 2 hours from Lanzhou and Zhongwei)
One and a half hours from Yellow River Stone Forest
2 hours from Tianzhu County
About 2 hours from Wuwei City
🎫 Tickets: Free and open 24 hours a day
(A similar visitor center is being built nearby, I don’t know if it will be developed and charged in the future)
📷 Take photos: In the morning and evening, there will be flocks of sheep entering and leaving the city gate (recommended on a sunny day)
🍽️ Catering: Recommend "Donglaishun Sour and Rotten Meat" in Jingtai County
