My spending philosophy collapsed after 3 days in Xi'an

Chang'an Zhou, Qin, Han, Tang Dynasties History and modernity shine together Familiar stories and rapid changes everywhere you go On this day, I visited Kunming Pool And one day also saw the newly opened Qin and Han Pavilion Let AI tell the story, she is amazing
Standing by the lake at Kunming Pool, before my eyes are rolling mountains and a clear blue sky, at this moment it feels like hearing the echoes of the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang Dynasties. Where the lake water stretches vast and misty, the warmth of history has never faded. As the ancient capital of thirteen dynasties, Xi'an has embedded the cultural genes of the descendants of Yan and Huang in every Qin brick and Han tile.
ð Kunming Pool: Emperor Wu of Hanâs "Star Plan"
Address: Inside Qixi Park, Kunming Pool, Chang'an District, Xi'an City
This artificial lake, built in 120 BC, was originally Emperor Wu of Hanâs "military base" for training the navy! Zhang Qianâs mission to the Western Regions brought back news that "Shendu Kingdom (India) has Kunming Pool," which Emperor Wu specially imitated to campaign against the southwestern tribes. Boating on the pool, you can see the ruins of the Fanyi Platform built according to the positions of constellations â an ancient observatory for star watching and celestial measurements. The three islands in the pool symbolize the "Three Immortal Mountains of Penglai," where emperors enacted the romantic imagination of "heaven and man responding to each other."
ð Shaanxi History Museum Qin and Han Pavilion: Guardians of the Underground Military Formation
Address: East section of Lanchi Third Road, Weicheng District, Xianyang City
The newly opened Qin and Han Pavilion is like an "underground imperial tomb museum," displaying treasures from over 300 Qin and Han ancient tombs on the plains of Xianyang. The most stunning exhibit is a life-size replica of the Qin Terracotta Army pit, where each soldierâs unique face hides the fingerprints of Qin craftsmen. Donât miss the Han Dynasty jade dancer known as the "Venus of the East," whose flowing skirt lines bring stone to life.
ðķ Fanyi Platform: The "Space Base" from a Thousand Years Ago
This rammed earth platform by Kunming Pool was called "Yuzhang Observatory" in the Han Dynasty, a royal observatory for star observation. The platformâs name is inspired by the poetic imagery from the Book of Songs, "Floating cypress boats, in the middle of the river," where Han literati often sailed and composed poetry. Today, the reconstructed ancient-style buildings on the platform light up at night, resembling a celestial pavilion floating in the Milky Way.
Walking on the wooden boardwalk of the Kunming Pool ruins, beneath your feet lie the remains of the Han Dynasty naval training ground. When the autumn wind brushes through the reeds, you can faintly hear the horns of warships breaking the waves. The magic of this land is that when you gaze into the lake, the lake responds with ripples spanning two thousand years.
Only when the sunset dyes the lake golden do you suddenly realize: we and our ancestors have been drinking from the same river of time all along.
