☕ Personal Thoughts

Jiufen has always been a place where I feel like I can step into a movie. No matter how many times I visit, I always discover new corners among the winding stone steps and old alleyways. The weather in this mountain town is ever-changing, often shrouded in mist, giving the entire street a mysterious yet romantic vibe.

My favorite time to stroll along Shuqi Road is at dusk when the red lanterns light up, making the street as enchanting as scenes from the animated film "Spirited Away." The aroma of tea wafts from teahouses, warm taro ball soup soothes the stomach, and freshly served tempura and grass jelly cakes evoke nostalgic flavors. Occasionally, turning into a small alley reveals handmade craft shops or local artist galleries.

If time allows, I love sitting in a teahouse, watching the mountain mist slowly rise and gazing at the changing hues of the Yin-Yang Sea. It feels as if time has come to a standstill.
